One night in 2012, a group of artists, passionate about their craft, gathered to create a local non-profit theatre in the hopes of bringing live theatre, theatre classes, youth theatre education and film opportunities to our local communities.  We knew that the arts and in particular, theatre, brings communities together, gives people a voice, and adds to the health and well-being of all people who live here.  Since that time, we have evolved, grown, and found creative ways to bring programs alive - in spite of a pandemic, in spite of economic woes.  We have offered free or pay-as-you can shows so that going to the theatre isn't a luxury, but an opportunity.  We have offered grants to our young actors so that they could attend camps no matter their income level.  We look forward to many more years growing and finding new ways to bring quality theatre to our communities.

Northwest Theatre Productions was created for the education, improvement and development of the continuing growth of the performing arts in the greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond community and adjacent King County Area.  We are dedicated to both artists and audiences through the vehicle of quality family theatre, performing arts, and film.
